Justin Shannon Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:52 AM Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:52 AM So, you're getting the crash when you try to create a facility? What facility are you trying to add? I can't seem to reproduce the error... Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS

What facility are you trying to add? I can't seem to reproduce the error... I have tried KOAK, KSFO, CYVR..... I get to add the name eg. Oakland, San Francisco, Vancouver - Thats when it crashes. As soon as I hit enter. Thanks for your [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance. I hope I can get this working. I know others from KZOA have it working. Justin Shannon Posted November 12, 2014 at 02:41 PM Posted November 12, 2014 at 02:41 PM Odd...I can't reproduce it. Have you used vATIS successfully in the past, or is this your first time using it? Try deleting the vATISConfig.xml file (located in %appdata%\vATIS directory) and then try adding a facility into vATIS. But I do have an Airports.xml file which is propogated with several airports. The program isn't even loading or seeing it. I tried removing it and restarting - no change Yes, this is a new install - never installed before I have uninstalled and re-installed - no change Maybe someone could put up a vATISConfig.xml and I will copy it into the folder. Maybe that will fix the issue. Thanks everyone!
Justin Shannon Posted November 12, 2014 at 05:41 PM Posted November 12, 2014 at 05:41 PM I'm stumped now. vATIS should automatically create the config file (vATISConfig.xml) upon start-up, and for some reason, it's not happening for you. You can try downloading this config file template and placing it in your %appdata%\vATIS directory and launching vATIS again. https://www.dropbox.com/s/v40m3pkllkpi1jk/vATISConfig.xml?dl=0 Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS
Kevin OBrien 968909 Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:05 PM Author Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:05 PM That did it Justin! Now I just have to load a configuration file. So off to the docs to come up to speed. Cheers!
Justin Shannon Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:11 PM Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:11 PM Looks like I spoke too soon. After messing around with it some more, I was finally able to reproduce the error you received. I'll work on a fix... Kevin OBrien 968909 Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:12 PM Author Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:12 PM So I guess some kind of Profiles are supposed to download with the install too??? I guess I got a lemon somehow. Can you shoot me a profile.gz as well please? Trying to create one, but the docs are unclear and when I select new profile and try to add items I keep getting the message saying that I need to load a profile. lol Oh boy.... Justin Shannon Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:16 PM Posted November 12, 2014 at 06:16 PM Once you load the facility, you will need to create a profile configuration (e.g. WEST OPS). To do this, go to the "Configuration" tab, click "New Profile" and provide a name for the profile. Once you do that, select the profile from the list and click "Load Profile". You can now configure it as you like - any changes you make will be saved to the loaded profile.
