VATSIM South America Region (VATSA)


Position title:


Human Resources (VATSA3)




- Review monthly management information concerning member progression and monitor member retention within the Divisions.


- Investigate matters raised in relation to membership issues, such as training delays, member exclusion and new/returning member induction.


-Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.


-Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accomeulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.


-Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing [Mod - Happy Thoughts]umptions and direction.


-Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.

-Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.


-Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



Reports to:


-Region Director


-Deputy Director




- Excellent working knowledge of VATSIM, Region, and Executive Committee policy.


- Previous or current experience as a staff member within a sub-Division or Division (preferred).


- Possess a rating of Controller 1 (C1) or higher.


- Readily available to answer E-Mail within 24-hours.


- A p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ion to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist new members, and members in need of [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance.
