Unfortunately I have to announce that Christopher Marakis,Membership Director (VATEUR3) has to step down from his position due to real life commitments. Christopher has filled this demanding position with dedication,professionalism and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ion. The membership position is one of those staff positions that are easily overlooked but also one that is of upmost importance for our oranisation in order to function properly.

 

For that reason,VATSIM Europe Region announces the vacancy for Europe Region Membership Director Position (VATEUR3).

 

Duties:

a.Review monthly management information in relation to member progression and new/returning members with divisional teams to aid member retention and improve controller coverage

b.Account for members exceeding regional guidelines on controller training progression, monitor trends and raise any issues with the Region Director and relevant division staff

c.Pursue matters raised in relation to membership issues such as training delays, member exclusion and new/returning member induction

d.Monitor Region Transfer requests, communicating as necessary with receiving/sending regions/divisions/subdivisions

e.Work with divisions to improve the efficiency of the joining and progression processes including (but not limited to) introduction and possible enhancement of welcome email systems, evaluating website usability and reviewing theory testing procedures

 

Subject to maintaining the balance with quality and competency of controllers, this role is focused on maintaining fluidity of controllers who wish to progress as virtual ATC. This is not just a role for ATC members though and we wish to make sure that members who join the network as pilot members are connected with the right people to help them train and get experience.
