Fred Clausen Posted March 14, 2006 at 04:27 PM Posted March 14, 2006 at 04:27 PM Thats pretty obnoxious. I know the ZNY SOPs are great, but thats just a little pathetic to have to steal them, and not even use your own bandwidth/server space. Ross Carlson Posted March 14, 2006 at 04:37 PM Posted March 14, 2006 at 04:37 PM You should configure your server to send them something completely different if the referrer is freewebs. Nicholas Bartolotta 912967 Posted March 14, 2006 at 04:38 PM Posted March 14, 2006 at 04:38 PM Ditto on what Fred said, that's really cheesy. I didn't notice what Rey pointed out though till he said it, pretty funny Nick Bartolotta - ZSE Instructor, pilot at large "Just fly it on down to within a inch of the runway and let it drop in from there." - Capt. Andrew Steinberg 939662 Posted March 14, 2006 at 09:44 PM Posted March 14, 2006 at 09:44 PM To get stuff removed for copyright infringmenet on freewebs is really easy. The DMA(Digital Millenium copyright act or something like that) allows you to have it removed. Just call their legal department and they will contact you very shortly. Matthew Kreilein 881422 Posted March 15, 2006 at 02:04 AM Posted March 15, 2006 at 02:04 AM Ladies and Gents~ I contacted the Webmaster last evening as well as the ATC Director and CEO for eskyworld. The ATC Director returned my e-mail within 8 hrs (9:00 AM) and informed me that the link from their site to that infringing site had been pulled. He was quick, helpful, commented that he has written SOPs for his ARTCC (from scratch) on their network and he can understand how much work goes into one and that it irritated him as well, and encouraged me to contact freewebs.com as well. The staff at eskyworld has been EXCELLENT in dealing with this and I commend them on that. As far as the webmaster goes. I have not received a response and therefore, freewebs.com has been contacted regarding this. To those non-ZNY'ers that went and posted in their forums that it was just "uncool" to directly link to us, not credit us, not ask, steal our homepage banner, as well as bandwidth from our site that is paid for by an individual (Keith from ZLA was only one who left a name I knew), thank you very much!!! We appreciate the support. Matthew Kreilein
