Justin Shannon Posted December 14, 2014 at 06:51 AM Posted December 14, 2014 at 06:51 AM What do you mean by "unable to get the degree window to accept any number value"? Is it giving you an error? Board of Governors Roger Curtiss Posted December 14, 2014 at 06:41 PM Author Board of Governors Posted December 14, 2014 at 06:41 PM No error message but when I attempt to input the degree variation in the box (I am attempting to input a 20 degree subtraction) the numbers do not appear and are not recorded. Hence my ATIS gives the wind as the METAR issues it-not the corrected -20 for the local variation. Justin Shannon Posted December 14, 2014 at 06:45 PM Posted December 14, 2014 at 06:45 PM I've never had issues with it, nor have I received any reports of it not working. When you enter a number in the degrees box (and checking the appropriate add/subtract radio button), it should adjust the wind accordingly in both the ATIS preview text as well as the voice output when you listen to it. the numbers do not appear and are not recorded What exactly do you mean? Is the number you type in the degrees input box being erased? Or...? Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS
Board of Governors Roger Curtiss Posted December 14, 2014 at 07:12 PM Author Board of Governors Posted December 14, 2014 at 07:12 PM Very simply- I mouse click in the box to select it to enter numbers...I type the numbers...they do not appear in the box. I have tried it with the horizontal number keys and also with the numeric keypad-same result every time. Justin Shannon Posted December 14, 2014 at 07:16 PM Posted December 14, 2014 at 07:16 PM Hmmm...I'm not sure. Did you load a configuration profile before typing in the box? Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS
Board of Governors Roger Curtiss Posted December 16, 2014 at 06:06 AM Author Board of Governors Posted December 16, 2014 at 06:06 AM (sorry for the delay in responding) Yes-I did load a configuration before attempting to adjust the variation Roger Curtiss VATGOV12 VP-Virtual Airlines & Special Ops r.curtiss(at)vatsim.net
Justin Shannon Posted December 16, 2014 at 04:42 PM Posted December 16, 2014 at 04:42 PM I'm honestly not sure. This is the first I've heard of this problem. Have you tried reinstalling vATIS? Board of Governors Roger Curtiss Posted December 16, 2014 at 06:48 PM Author Board of Governors Posted December 16, 2014 at 06:48 PM Well, I have made some progress. I was able to load the variation using a different configuration profile. Apparently, the problem lies in the particular config profile I was trying to use.
