An altitude restriction is any published altitude that a pilot is required to meet whilst climbing via a departure. This can include waypoint crossings or DME arc crossings. ... d. SID phraseology. (1) If a SID has a published top altitude with published altitude restrictions: “Climb via SID.” ...
