David Izzi 1106924 Posted January 21, 2015 at 05:31 PM Posted January 21, 2015 at 05:31 PM Hello everyone, I just downgraded back to Windows 8. I completed a fresh install of my pc and with FS9 with NO addons at this time. I just bought Wilco's Vol 1/2 airbus and it keeps on crashing after I select any airbus to fly. I can select any default to fly with no issue and I tried to switch between aircraft and that didn't work. I'm not having any luck at all and Wilco responded with an answer as, FS9 is OLD and running Windows 8 or 8.1 has compatibility issue. That's all they wrote. They shouldn't sell their product if people run windows 8 or above even 7 doesn't they say. I'm sure someone out there is flying a wilco product in FS9 and Windows 8. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance and hope to here back soon. David
Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted January 22, 2015 at 05:28 AM Posted January 22, 2015 at 05:28 AM David, Sorry I can't be of more help here. I just did a short hop in the Wilco Airbus Vol1 A321 without a hitch and then flew back in the Wilco Airbus Vol2 A332, again without a hitch. It did exactly as expected. I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit using FS9 (FS2004). Now in FSX it's another matter... I have the Wilco B737 PIC -300, -400, and -500 for FSX and none of the switches work in FSX for these birds...although the aircraft do load. I can do a "CTRL+E" start of the engines and fly it, but the FMC and Nav Radios are useless so what's the point? Guess I could handfly them VFR with gear down and no flaps, but somehow that is just wrong! This is a known issue with Wilco PIC and 64-bit. There's supposed to be an upgrade to take it to 64-bit compatibility, but it is not a free upgrade, so I chose not to buy it after reading that it worked for some getting them 64-bit capable and others found they still didn't work after installing the upgrade. David Izzi 1106924 Posted January 31, 2015 at 01:16 PM Author Posted January 31, 2015 at 01:16 PM Just an update. No update at all!! I'm still researching but no fix yet. I tried removing the panel folder of the A320 and it loaded correctly but of course, no panel when it opens. That won't work but maybe it's something with all the panels on the airbus that isn't agreeing with windows 8.1 compatibilities. That's where I'm at right now. Any suggestion is always welcomed.
