Bryant Slade 1315756 Posted February 13, 2015 at 05:38 PM Posted February 13, 2015 at 05:38 PM Can someone please help me connect my FSX, to the VATSIM network, so that I can soar with other like-minded sailplane enthusiasts?!
Tomas Hansson Posted February 13, 2015 at 05:54 PM Posted February 13, 2015 at 05:54 PM Welcome to VATSIM! I would recommond looking through the Pilot Resource Centre at http://www.vatsim.net/prc and then maybe sign up for the P1 course at the Training Centre http://ptd.vatsim.net/ That definitely will get you set up. The entire vatsim network, seems confusing. Went there to sign up for the pilot training, as you stated and couldn't even find a sign-up form. I was wondering though...if I've got my FSX up and running and go into my add-ons and click fsinn control, if that automatically logs me online to vatsim? 1275389 Posted February 13, 2015 at 07:02 PM Posted February 13, 2015 at 07:02 PM Try googling: "How to use FSInn to connect to VATSIM" That'll give you some useful youtube videos to watch. As Tomas said, check out the Pilot Reaource Centre
Tomas Hansson Posted February 13, 2015 at 07:29 PM Posted February 13, 2015 at 07:29 PM vPilot is much easier to set-up and use than FSInn! You could spend hours (or weeks) to get FSInn installed and working while vPilot usually is up and running within minutes. Here is the link: http://vpilot.metacraft.com/ I agree thet the PTO site can be a bit difficult to navigate. The Pilot Resource Centre (PRC) is the definitive starting point. If you feel so inclined, you may also want to join a Virtual Airline where you often can get lots of additional help getting things set up. Here is a listing of all airlines that fly on VATSIM and have gone through the certification process: http://vasops.vatsim.net/ Tomas Hansson
