I have an issue with vPilot Matchmaking. I have downloaded the IVAO MTL, and installed vPilot correctly, also I have set the correct matchmaking rule according to my simulator. However when I start vPilot, and connect, it says that "Simconnect could not find this aircraft". Any clues?

I found the answer, and will share with you how I fixed this. Although It is talked about extensively IN THIS FORUM and in the docomeentation for vPilot (Like we read docomeentation )

(Be sure in the vPilot config to set the correct default aircraft according to your sim)

You have correctly installed vPilot and the MTL. Follow these instructions to fix the matchmaking problems.

1) Click start

2) type in %appdata%

3) Open one of the following folders;

For FSX, go to Microsoft > FSX > FSX.cfg

For P3D, go to Lockheed Martin > Prepar3D V2 > Prepare3D.cfg

(I suggest that you open each with NotePad++)

4.) Find the [Main] bracket

5.) You should see a list of things like SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Airplanes

6.) Insert this ----> SimObjectPaths.x=SimObjects\IVAO_MTL <---- under the last SimObject item. REPLACE THE X WITH THE NEXT NUMBER!

EXAMPLE:

If you had SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Airplanes as the first item, then your insert would look like this;

SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\IVAO_MTL

7.) Run vPilot like normal, you now have matchmaking!

Which version of P3D? If v2.5, see if this helps: http://www1.metacraft.com/VRC/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3530

Thanks Don. Had an issue yesterday with AI (using MyTraffic3D AI pack) which would not load any aircraft in vPilot. Your link fixed it
