Curley transferred to the VATSIM network from SATCO in 2001 as a student controller. He learned the ATC basics with The VATSIM Cleveland ARTCC and worked his way through the ranks to a Senior Controller. After two years with the network, Curley became active in mentoring new students and eventually joined the Cleveland ARTCC staff as an instructor. In 2003 Curley was appointed as the Cleveland Deputy Air Traffic Manager and interim Training Administrator. He used his DATM/TA position to implement new training policies and realistic controller procedures. He currently is an AT-CTI student finishing his degree in Air Traffic Management at Vaughn in New York. Curley looks forward to working with all the staff and members of the VATUSA Central Region as his newly appointed position VATUSA8. Please join us in congratulating Curley on his new position and helping him make Central Region all it can be, as real as it gets!
