If so, how many degrees? Don Desfosse Vice President, Operations

Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted April 16, 2015 at 01:35 PM Board of Governors Posted April 16, 2015 at 01:35 PM Excellent. If you (and your ARTCC) want to use that feature, suggest you round to the nearest 10 degrees. Don Desfosse Vice President, Operations
Bradley Grafelman Posted April 16, 2015 at 03:06 PM Posted April 16, 2015 at 03:06 PM Although it's not much, suggest you consider accounting for magnetic variation for realism (whether vATIS is used or not); a METAR showing "31007KT" at KSLC would be spoken as "three zero zero at seven." If nothing else, it's one more trivia-type fact for new students to learn when you're teaching METAR parsing. =)
