Michael Herter 1333088 Posted August 14, 2015 at 02:08 PM Posted August 14, 2015 at 02:08 PM Hello there fellow Pilots, So I own the Steam Version of FSX. I installed vPilot. Everytime i try to start the Program it tells me "Could not initialize vPilot core components. Please ensure SimConnect version 10.0.61259.0 is installed." And well I have been on the "Docomeentation" [http://vpilot.metacraft.com/Docomeentation.aspx] It says " System requirements: Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 8, or 8.1 Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1) DirectX version with DirectAudio support. (Click here to download the Microsoft DirectX installer.) 100 MB free disk space on the drive where application data and user docomeents are stored (usually C:) Microsoft Flight Simulator X with Acceleration or Service Pack 2 - and/or - Lockheed Martin Prepar3D version 1.4 or 2.1" Well I installed Service Pack 1 and 2 for FSX, but when opening SP1 it says I should download it for my Version? And the Steam Version of FSX actualy already has these Service Packs includet? I reinstalled SP1 in German because I have german Steam, well now the program starts but it wants me to put CD in so no sucess... :/ I also checked for broken files, nothing found... So what to do? With best regards, Michael (:
Tomas Hansson Posted August 14, 2015 at 02:46 PM Posted August 14, 2015 at 02:46 PM From the vPilot FAQ: (http://www1.metacraft.com/VRC/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3166) Q: When starting vPilot I get an error message that says, "Could not initialize vPilot core components. Please ensure SimConnect version 10.0.61259.0 is installed." What's up with that? A: This is caused by running an out-of-date version of SimConnect. The current version is 10.0.61259.0 If your FSX machine is running SP2 or Acceleration, you can take the SimConnect client installer from there and run it on the client machine. Alternatively, there is a link to the current installer in the vPilot docomeentation. Tomas Hansson

Only thing I find is SimConnect.dll. Help?
