Richard Ruminski Posted March 31, 2006 at 03:31 PM Posted March 31, 2006 at 03:31 PM If you have an hour or two to spare tomorrow Saturday April 1 at 2:00 PM EST. Miami ARTCC could use your help. We are conducting a dry run of our Lakeland Express event set for Saturday April 8. We need some GA pilots to help us test our new sector file and work out some flow control problems. If you would like to help out visit the event web site at www.ruminski.com/lal.htm . Download and watch the video, download the procedures and helpful hints files. Log on to VATSIM at KLAL in one of the suggested aircraft types. Position yourself anywhere south of runway 9 along the taxiways. Monitor LAL_GND for instructions. We will attempt to find the saturation point for the VFR holding pattern over Lake Hancock. We also want to see what happens to pilots frame rates when they are in an area populated with slow moving targets. As you log in you will be [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned a new call sign to help us track all the traffic. Call signs will start with LAKE1 and progress upwards. Communications will be very informal and suggestions will be welcomed and appreciated. We will also be looking for Pilots to act as lead aircraft during the event. If you are interested send an email to ric (at) ruminski (dot) com Thanks in advanced. Ric Ruminski ZMA Events Coordinator.
