Nothing works, extremely frustrated...

I have been a Vatsim user off and on for the past 4 years or so, however I have not been able to get either Squawkbox or FSINN to work for a few months now.

 

I have Windows ME so, from what I understand, Squawkbox 3 is not for me. I still have Squawkbox 2.3 but apparently the registration for FSUIPC is no longer valid???

 

I have attempted to use FSINN but simply having it installed slows down FS2002 and FS2004 to the point where neither is useable. Opening up the control pannel usually results in freezing the program.

 

I have tried all of these with a fresh, clean install of both 2002 and 2004 with no other programs or addons installed or running and I am getting absolutely nowhere.

 

This just might be the end of Vatsim for me unless there is a really obvious fix (other than getting rid of Windows ME).

There is a ME patch for FSInn, did you try it?

Thank you, that seems to have cleared up the issues with FS running slowly and freezing. There still seems to be some visual issues (runway lights, and such). Also, I have not yet had a chance to try connecting to Vatsim.

 

I will reply again when I have a minute to do some more trouble shooting.

About the visuals, FSInn does not touch those. Without details on your system it's very hard to help you out should you still have problems. Anyway, glad you got it working now, have fun!
