Kyle Ramsey 810181 Posted October 10, 2015 at 01:29 PM Posted October 10, 2015 at 01:29 PM VATSIM's Code of Conduct (CoC) was recently updated with the addition of a new clause in the first General Section A, Article 16, which now states: Members shall only connect to the VATSIM network as a pilot, air traffic controller or as an observer. No other connection is permitted. Pilots may freely engage in civilian flying activities. Military, paramilitary or civilian government agency activities are defined and governed by the VATSIM Special Operations Policy and members may not freely conduct any activities that are expressly governed by this policy without affiliation to an authorized VATSIM Special Operations Organization. Prior to conducting any military, paramilitary or civilian government agency activities, the VATSIM Special Operations Policy should be reviewed by visiting the VATSIM website. This makes clear that the rules for military operations and activities are governed by the VATSIM Special Operations Policy docomeent found in the Docomeents section of the web site. No rules in that policy have changed, we have simply made it visible in the CoC docomeent for members and supervisors that these regulations exist and all will be held accountable to them like any other clause in the CoC. These docomeents are available for download on the Docomeents section of the web site. The CoR was also updated but that is where changes to CoC are recorded and that was all that changed in that docomeent. Kyle Ramsey
