Paco Xurado Posted November 20, 2015 at 10:50 PM Posted November 20, 2015 at 10:50 PM Hello Aproximately since August, we have problems with the Spanish Sectors downloadings. The packages are downloaded, but the files inside are empty, 0 kb (?!?!). Initially, we thought that the problem was with the 7-zip program, but it works correctly as we can download the package directly from our server and the files inside are ok. Can you help us in finding a solution? Thanks in advance Paco Xurado ACCSP9
Gergely Csernak Posted November 22, 2015 at 03:44 PM Posted November 22, 2015 at 03:44 PM ES executes the following command on the downloaded file (the folders and file names are related to my structure): "c:\Program Files (x86)\EuroScope\7za.exe" x -y -o"e:\EuroScopeFiles\Sectorfiles\Spain" "e:\EuroScopeFiles\Sectorfiles\Spain\LECB_1511.7z" Running it on a command prompt I receive the following messages: Processing archive: e:\EuroScopeFiles\Sectorfiles\Spain\LECB_1511.7z Extracting LECB Updates 1511.txt Unsupported Method Extracting LECB_1511.ese Unsupported Method Extracting LECB_1511.sct Unsupported Method Extracting LECB_2015_10_15.xlsx Unsupported Method Sub items Errors: 4 And all files are 0 length. So it seems to be a problem with packaging. Try creating a 7z file that can be used with the above described command. Gergely. Paco Xurado Posted December 7, 2015 at 11:37 PM Author Posted December 7, 2015 at 11:37 PM Hi Gergely Now it's working perfectly. I wonder if it can depend on the version of the 7zip I was using. I mean, when I had the problem, I was packing the files with a beta version of 7zip. Now I'm using the last no-beta version available (15.12) and it works with no errors. Thanks for your work Paco Xurado LERS ACCSP9
Gergely Csernak Posted December 28, 2015 at 08:38 AM Posted December 28, 2015 at 08:38 AM I guess that "Unsupported Method" means that the new beta has some new compressing method that can not be extracted with the public release. Mark Walsh Posted March 5, 2016 at 05:53 PM Posted March 5, 2016 at 05:53 PM I was just experiencing the same problems until I came across this forum post. Thank-You. Then came the task of compressing the files using the 7za windows version instead of relying on the old dos / command line way. If you use the windows version, it wants to default to LZMA2. Change it to LZMA. Seems to work. 7za.exe supports only 7z, lzma, cab, zip, gzip, bzip2, Z and tar formats Mark Walsh CZQM-CZQX Mark Walsh Vatsim Network Supervisor
