I finally have SSO sorted out and working on moodle. Now I have access as a normal user. My question is how can I give certain users that login via SSO Moodle administrative access?

I've moved this as it's no longer an SSO question. I'd suggest google as your first port of call to find out how to do this.

As KH hinted, ACL is handled inside of Moodle not SSO.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are you telling me I need to create a user with the VATSIM ID with SSO disabled and then reenable the SSO?
