When connected to VATSIM I sometimes receive other controllers on one frequency. For example, last night I was participating in a KSEA event with many VATSIM ATC on line. I was receiving both CLEARANCE and GROUND on the CLEARANCE freq., and when I switched to the DEP free, I was also receiving the GROUND controller voice at the same time. Very annoying as you can imagine, so I had to use text. I use XSB1.3.1 now, but it also occurred in the previous version. I never fly near Detroit because I have always had an issue on VATSIM that if Detroit ATIS is broadcasting, I receive the ATIS recorded report on whatever freq I have tuned, be it CTR, DEP, etc. Very annoying, and have never been given a reason for this problem.

My system set up: MAC OS 10 El Capitan; X-Plane 10.4; (but had problem also in v9.7, so don't think it is XPlane); XSB1.3.1 (had same issue in previous version too); fly only EADT_x737 with FJCC_x737FMC.

Any insight into this would be appreciated!!

Can you confirm that you didn't accidentally happen to have both COM1 and COM2 tuned in?

If you have Ground on COM2 (be it intentional or not) and were only changing COM1, there is a good that was causing your issue.

Thinking back to the last time I used XSB, COM2 is either some default frequency or the last one that was used in COM2. The issue that may arise there is that if you don't remember to change it, you could accidentally tune into both at once.

I have had the issue where I accidentally picked up COM2 when connecting (or even a default COM1 frequency) and usually just tuned it to something not used, such as 199.999 (which you can tune to in X-Plane with the //COM command)
