peter mason 812903 Posted January 18, 2016 at 05:58 PM Posted January 18, 2016 at 05:58 PM My radio has dual chanel capability, that is I can tune and enter the voice room of two controllers. The questions are now many:- Which of the two receives my voice? Having now tested this only the vhf1 coms radio is received on the land side but I suspect this is because it was the first frequency that I tuned . I can hear both stations. How do I switch sending between the two? The airplane is qpac a320 v2.0.3 but I guess it is a generic problem. I have tried with the Cessna 172 that has a com1 com2 switch with no standby feature and it can also open two voice rooms but it also refuses to switch between the two. Is this a squawkbox or xplane question?
Ross Carlson Posted January 18, 2016 at 06:15 PM Posted January 18, 2016 at 06:15 PM I was about to answer in terms of MSFS, but then I saw at the end of your post that you mentioned XPlane ... did you mean to post in the XSquawkbox forum? This is the Squawkbox forum, which is for FS9/FSX. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
peter mason 812903 Posted January 18, 2016 at 07:34 PM Author Posted January 18, 2016 at 07:34 PM (edited) yes I intended to post here. I do not know who´s problem it is and at the moment all I am doing is aggravating the atc. Squwakbox also operates with xplane. As I say the problem is not only with the a320. Squwakbox opens two voice rooms but neither the cessena or the A320 will switch calling frequencies as far as I can make out. Ross Carlson Posted January 18, 2016 at 09:41 PM Posted January 18, 2016 at 09:41 PM Squwakbox also operates with xplane. No, Squawkbox is only for Microsoft flight sim. If you are using X-Plane, you are using XSquawkbox, not Squawkbox. (Easy mistake, since their names vary by a single letter.) I'd recommend posting in the XSquawkbox forum: viewforum.php?f=109 Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
peter mason 812903 Posted January 19, 2016 at 08:40 AM Author Posted January 19, 2016 at 08:40 AM It seems this is a docomeented failure and has a low development priority. Apologies for disturbing the pond. Peter Mason
