Jonas Akbari 1329899 Posted January 18, 2016 at 06:44 PM Posted January 18, 2016 at 06:44 PM Hello, I'm using X-Plane for quite a while and I tried to fly on VATSIM. It worked actually quite well however there is this one problem that mocks me. Sometimes I see a Cessna and it is supposed to be a 777. This happens even though I got the CSL-Packages installed. Doesn't XSquawkBox cover the livery and model type? If so why do I sometimes see a correct plane. I mean the livery doesn't match but the B737 is a B737 and not a Cessna 172. Thanks for your help Jonas
Mathew Sutcliffe Posted January 18, 2016 at 07:02 PM Posted January 18, 2016 at 07:02 PM Hi Jonas, Wrong aircraft type could be caused by the other pilot entering invalid ICAO aircraft code when they connect. Examples of invalid codes are "777", "B777", "BOEING 777" etc. Correct codes for the different variants of the Boeing 777 are "B772", "B773", "B77L", and "B77W". More info on the ICAO website. XSquawkBox doesn't attempt to match liveries, so you will never see correct liveries, unless by coincidence the other pilot is using a livery which happens to be the the X-CSL-Package default livery for that aircraft type. swift - Developer
