Jonah Beale 1319323 Posted April 12, 2016 at 06:34 PM Posted April 12, 2016 at 06:34 PM I have a few thousand hours in X-plane 10, (zero in real life ) I found that I'm reasonably good at intercepting and flying in formation with a target aircraft. I have about 3 hours logged in VATSIM, and have yet to actually see another aircraft. I think this would be a great opportunity for me to learn about how the software handles traffic and have a bit of fun. I can't guarantee that I will be available during the listed times on all the listed days, but I know I will be today. Location: Preferably the mountain ranges around KSEA, however conditions are usually IMC so this is subject to change but keep in mind that I only have N. America scenery. Edit: What I'm looking for is a towerless airport within range of interesting scenery. Aircraft: Default C172? Doesn't really matter as long as it has a similar speed range. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted April 13, 2016 at 03:50 AM Posted April 13, 2016 at 03:50 AM just keep in mind certain activities are restricted on the network. Formation flying isnt one of those restricted activities, so long as its civilian in nature. all the network asks is you know how to operate while in formation (IE dont go busting airspace, dont go chasing other traffic, etc..) Of course! I would hate to mess with someone else's flight, I know how much it hurts when my immersion gets disrupted. Speaking of location: I vaguely remember bush flying being mentioned somewhere in the rules... is it prohibited even if it's in uncontrolled, vacant airspace?
