I have been trying to connect to VATSIM now for about 3 hours and everytime it comes up with the same message that it could not be resolved. I have tried all the other servers and it is getting quite annoying. Has anyone get any advise?

Thank You.

Samuel.

EDIT: Try using an IP address rather than selecting a server from the dropdown list when you connect?

Sounds like a local issue, perhaps with a software firewall blocking SB's network connections. Although UK1 worked for me just now, have you tried other servers as well?

Lastly... which sim are you using? If FSX, any reason why you're using SB rather than vPilot?

Well, step one would be posting in the correct forum so that people with no experience using XSquawkBox don't waste time by [Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming you're using SquawkBox.

nope. squawkbox and Xsquawkbox are two different clients. Squawkbox is for the Microsoft flightsim series, Xsquawkbox is for Xplane.

moving to Xsquawkbox section

Please upgrade to 1.3.1, and if that's not possible, read the article on the XSB website about connecting with old versions of XSquawkBox.

Oh, and the most important point, if you are running 1.3.1 after upgrading, make sure you actually reselect the server off of the list as per the note in the docomeentation and website!
