Samuel Berlet 1334858 Posted April 16, 2016 at 06:03 PM Posted April 16, 2016 at 06:03 PM (edited) I have been trying to connect to VATSIM now for about 3 hours and everytime it comes up with the same message that it could not be resolved. I have tried all the other servers and it is getting quite annoying. Has anyone get any advise? Thank You. Samuel. Bradley Grafelman Posted April 16, 2016 at 06:07 PM Posted April 16, 2016 at 06:07 PM EDIT: Try using an IP address rather than selecting a server from the dropdown list when you connect?

Bradley Grafelman Posted April 16, 2016 at 06:38 PM Posted April 16, 2016 at 06:38 PM Sounds like a local issue, perhaps with a software firewall blocking SB's network connections. Although UK1 worked for me just now, have you tried other servers as well? Lastly... which sim are you using? If FSX, any reason why you're using SB rather than vPilot? Bradley Grafelman Posted April 16, 2016 at 07:05 PM Posted April 16, 2016 at 07:05 PM Well, step one would be posting in the correct forum so that people with no experience using XSquawkBox don't waste time by [Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming you're using SquawkBox. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted April 17, 2016 at 03:52 AM Posted April 17, 2016 at 03:52 AM nope. squawkbox and Xsquawkbox are two different clients. Squawkbox is for the Microsoft flightsim series, Xsquawkbox is for Xplane. moving to Xsquawkbox section

Oh, and the most important point, if you are running 1.3.1 after upgrading, make sure you actually reselect the server off of the list as per the note in the docomeentation and website!
