Mike Paulin 1357561 Posted June 10, 2016 at 12:22 PM Posted June 10, 2016 at 12:22 PM The setup guide indicates to set aircraft number to 8 in settings / renderings in X Plane 10. I find everything from setting cars, buildings, foliage, etc, in there, just no planes. Am I in the right place for this setting? I am running the latest X Plane 10 on Windows 10. Daniel Greer Posted June 18, 2016 at 04:07 PM Posted June 18, 2016 at 04:07 PM I have found that as long as XSB is enabled then the default X-Plane AI Aircraft will not be present. Just think, wherever you go there you are...
Christopher Collins Posted July 12, 2016 at 11:59 AM Posted July 12, 2016 at 11:59 AM I have found that as long as XSB is enabled then the default X-Plane AI Aircraft will not be present. Correct! XPlane yields control of the AI aircraft to XSB when XSB goes online. XSB uses the AI aircraft slots for TCAS trickery, and optionally for getting XPlane itself to render the aircraft (rather than using the libxplanemp code to do it). In older versions of XPlane, this was the only way XSB could render aircraft, hence the message about not being able to see other traffic if there were no other aircraft slots enabled.
