Evan Hardin Posted August 4, 2016 at 10:56 PM Author Posted August 4, 2016 at 10:56 PM Interestingly I just noticed this only happens with KSAN which I got from ZLA downloads. KLAX, KSNA, and KLAS work fine.
Evan Hardin Posted August 5, 2016 at 03:01 PM Author Posted August 5, 2016 at 03:01 PM This is working fine now. I'm not sure what happened.
Alex Ying Posted August 7, 2016 at 10:09 PM Posted August 7, 2016 at 10:09 PM I had this happen to me today. I was controlling KEWR, and then about an hour in, vATIS crashes for me, but not for KLGA who was also online. I can start it and fetch the D-ATIS offline, but if I fetch the D-ATIS while connected to VATSIM, it crashes. I noticed that the VATSIM weather also stopped updating for me while vATIS was unusable (about an hour and a half to 2 hours). After that, the weather on VATSIM updated, and vATIS started working again. Instructor // ZNY/ZWY Facility Coordinator

Justin Shannon Posted September 1, 2016 at 12:39 AM Posted September 1, 2016 at 12:39 AM I'm quite tied up with real life right now. I will make an attempt to investigate this issue soon. Asher Patterson 1355268 Posted December 20, 2016 at 12:28 AM Posted December 20, 2016 at 12:28 AM I also had this problem while controlling in LaGuardia. Nothing seemed to fix it.
Justin Shannon Posted December 27, 2016 at 12:27 AM Posted December 27, 2016 at 12:27 AM I just published an update that should fix the cause of this crashing. If the METAR was malformed (e.g. missing winds, etc.) then vATIS would crash because it didn't know how to handle not having winds in the METAR.
