Mark Tomassoni 813617 Posted April 14, 2006 at 03:17 PM Posted April 14, 2006 at 03:17 PM Do we still need to enter $radioname() $freq() in the top portion of the ATIS window for voice to work? Ross Carlson Posted April 14, 2006 at 06:57 PM Posted April 14, 2006 at 06:57 PM You don't need $radioname() and $freq() for voice to work, and you never did, in ASRC or VRC. I think you're thinking of $mypvtrw or $myrw. Those are NOT needed in VRC. Check here: http://www.metacraft.com/VRC/docs/doc.php?page=setting_your_atis You may still want to use $radioname() so that pilots can see your radio callsign when they first dial your frequency. $freq() is optional, but it's not a bad idea to have it in there so that pilots can confirm that they reached the right controller.
