Tom Gilmer Posted August 25, 2016 at 01:46 PM Posted August 25, 2016 at 01:46 PM Steering while taxiing has suddenly gone out of control. Slightest twist of the joystick gives full rudder. Tried all different rudder axis settings. Also tried reducing rudder effectiveness to 0.1 in aircraft cfg. Problem occurs with all aircraft. Movement of all controls other than rudder are normal and smooth. Anyone seen this?
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted August 25, 2016 at 02:10 PM Posted August 25, 2016 at 02:10 PM dont change that in the aircraft.cfg, you can make it unflyable. control issues are normally handled from your settings and from your calibration settings. adjust your rudder sensitivity. if you use FSUIPC, you can also calibrate from FSUIPC and adjust the range of motion
Tom Gilmer Posted August 25, 2016 at 05:29 PM Author Posted August 25, 2016 at 05:29 PM Downloaded and installed FSUIPC$ and purchased the key code. All axis except for rudder advance smoothly to a max number. Rudder axis snaps immediately to a value of 16,192 in either direction. can't figure out how to scale it. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted August 25, 2016 at 05:31 PM Posted August 25, 2016 at 05:31 PM use the slope scale for the axis also works very well for the brakes so they arent overly sensitive
Tom Gilmer Posted August 25, 2016 at 06:30 PM Author Posted August 25, 2016 at 06:30 PM OK. Thanks for the tips. It's working better now. Just have to fine tune it.
Tom Gilmer Posted September 9, 2016 at 09:58 PM Author Posted September 9, 2016 at 09:58 PM Problem solved. Sailtek X52 Pro doesn't like USB 3.0. Plugged it in to USB 2.0 and everything is fine.
Andreas Fuchs Posted September 10, 2016 at 10:24 AM Posted September 10, 2016 at 10:24 AM I still suggest you use FSUIPC to define your control-axis, it makes it so much easier. Make sure you select "Send direct to FSUIPC Calibration".
