Fredric Greenblott 1346549 Posted September 26, 2016 at 09:56 PM Posted September 26, 2016 at 09:56 PM Just a question for all you pilots out there: What is your favorite citypair? I personally like doing short hops around the west coast in the PMDG 737, but my favorite citypair is definitely flying from KJFK to EGLL in Concorde X. What's your favorite citypair and what aircraft do you typically use to fly it? Christopher Liu Posted September 27, 2016 at 09:02 PM Posted September 27, 2016 at 09:02 PM According to our stats page, our most popular routes are Birmingham (EGBB) - Jersey (EGJJ) and London City (EGLC) - Amsterdam (EHAM). Interesting to note both feature short runways, and are amongst the shorter routes available. Not sure what my personal favourite is, I do rather like Edinburgh's (EGPH) approach over the Firth of Forth and I suppose going between there and London City gives some very varied scenery in a short space of time and two wonderful approaches in to two of the world's great cities. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted September 28, 2016 at 03:17 AM Posted September 28, 2016 at 03:17 AM They're all great...but for different reasons...or I wouldn't be flying them. I love flying Katmandu to Lukla because it lets me use my Aerosoft Twotter Extended. Oh, or Princess Julianna to Sabo! VNKT to Paro, Bhutan is my favorite, just because I like trying to match the video I've watched 10 or more times of the A319 flying into it and I get to refresh my handling of the Wilco. Don't get me started on my favorite Concorde city pair, EGLL to KJFK...or KIAD "falling off the wall". Oh, and how could I not call the Speedbird B744 flight from London to San Francisco a favorite. The real world flight p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]es over my house and I can see those brilliant BAW colors through binoculars as it cruises toward descent somewhere over Nevada. Boise to Salt lake is great in any of the early Douglases or the Connie. Flying the Dewline PAED to PATC with the C-130 out of Elmendorf is a favorite and every once in a while I'll dust off the C-5 Galaxy for my favorite trip out to Shemya. My favorite city pair? The one I am flying at the time. Randy Randy Tyndall - KBOI ZLA I-11/vACC Portugal P4 “A ship is always safe in the harbor. See, the thing with me is that because I'm in high school, I've very busy most of the time with a lot of schoolwork, so I never have the time to do a normal transatlantic flight in a 773 or a 744, so Concorde is the quickest (and the most fun ) option for me. I also love taking the OCK2F arrival into EGLL, especially when the landing runways are 27L/R... Flying parallel to the airport then making the sharp turn to final is very fun in the Concorde.
