Joel Martinsson 1365065 Posted October 12, 2016 at 01:40 PM Posted October 12, 2016 at 01:40 PM Hi, I just bought the Aerosoft A321, I know how to program the MCDU so I found a route and inserted all in and I saw on the gps that it was correct. When i tookoff I kicked the autopilot in but it turned away and did not follow the programmed route. So anywone that has some knowledge in the Airbus A321 want to do a Vatsim shared cockpit flight? I could be first officer and you could be the captain. I am 13 years old and have been flying on vatsim for 2 months so I know how to communicate with atc. Clarke Kruger Posted October 12, 2016 at 05:15 PM Posted October 12, 2016 at 05:15 PM Even though the Autopilot was on, There's difference between managed mode and manual mode on the Airbus. I believe there are a few tutorial flight on a A321, that will definitely help you get accustomed to the aircraft. I'd offer a shared but truth be told never done one. Carl Selin Posted October 13, 2016 at 06:56 AM Posted October 13, 2016 at 06:56 AM Hi Joel! There's a really nice step by step tutorial somewhere in the docomeentation of the Aerosoft airbus, I'd reccomend you try flying that one. Also check that your navdatabase is up to date and that you have the correct one selected in the Aerosoft Airbus Configurator (NavDataPro or Navigraph). Also remember there's a difference between pulling a knob (right mouseclicking) and pushing (left mouseclicking) a knob in the airbus. Pushing tells the aircraft that it has control (VNAV, LNAV). Pulling the knob is that you're in control of the airbus autopilot. Hope this helps somewhat.
