I have FS2004 working on a desktop with 512 mB of RAM but it comes up with a smeared picture on my laptop with 512 mB of RAM also. Both computers have 3-D video cards. Is it matter of not enough available RAM in the loptop? Or ?

Hello Larry ,

Have you installed the latest drivers for your video cards? Also , how many applications do you have running in the background? These can all have an effect on how well your Flightsim runs. You may also need to make some adjustments within your video card options as well .

Depending on age and manufacturer of the laptop, it may not have the available video ram to display properly. Many laptops used shared memory (ie...video ram is actually a portion of the 512mb ram). You may want to go to the manufacture's website and see if they offer any solutions to your problem.
