From the official IFC web site at www.ifcglobalnetwork.com:

"After the success of IFC Europe comes IFC Denver. The International Flightsim Convention will be coming to the USA like never seen before!! On the 1st and 2nd of July 2006, IFC will present the largest most comprehensive view of the Flightsim world ever seen in the whole of the USA, with 48 purpose built stands along with all the top flightsim companies from around the world for this 2 day convention. The convention is to be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Denver. Software, Hardware, Full size simulators, Real world aviation, plus a full program of very interesting seminars, and a lot more. IFC Denver will be a mirror image of IFC Blackpool, UK which saw thousands attend from all over the world."

Veeery good news. i was able to join in on last years IFC-show in Blackpool/UK, which was a very interesting weekend with lots of talks and meeting so many voices from the net. Denver is a bit far away for me, but if you are in the area, join in.

Cheers

Here is the latest news release. Sounds like a good time folks!

Microsoft Announces Sponsorship Of IFC Conventions

Microsoft is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the International Flight Simulation Conventions (IFC). These two international events in 2006 are located in Denver, Colorado USA and Birmingham, United Kingdom.

At both conventions, Denver on 1st and 2nd of July and Birmingham on the 2nd and 3rd December, we will be demonstrating the up-coming Flight Simulator X.

We will have available Flight Simulator X, and visitors to both conventions will be able fly it for themselves.

On Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning, we will present a seminar entitled 'The Technology and Features of FSX', which will be followed by an open question and answer session. Later, we will present the keynote address at the Saturday evening Awards Dinner.

For up to date information on IFC Denver you can visit their web site:

This should be a good time. I believe this is the same hotel that served as the AVSIM.COM convention sites a couple of year's ago and is directly across the street from the United Airlines Training Center. Now if they had aranged some more Level D flight sim time, I would be there

I liked IFC when I was there in England, but it seemed too commercial.

This seems like AVSIM Denver v2. =)

Remember, if you can't make the convention, you can still come (virtually) while the ZDV controllers work live at the convention, all weekend (but specifically between 1900z-2300z on Saturday).
