Thomas Winding 1352874 Posted November 2, 2016 at 06:26 PM Posted November 2, 2016 at 06:26 PM Hi, How do I handle a near-OOM situation while I am on vatsim? Is it Ok to stop the flight by save the flight, logoff close P3D and then start up again where you left? Br Thomas
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted November 2, 2016 at 06:45 PM Posted November 2, 2016 at 06:45 PM no idea what a near OOM is but yes you can logoff and save to reconnect where you left off. normally its recommended that this be done only during the cruise phase of flight as you are much less likely to interfere when you restart and connect, compared to when on approach where you are much more likely to conflict. also other things to watch for is ATC coverage and other pilots in the area, you can do this with the online maps by comparing your position. be sure you wont pop up on someone else for example. and if ATC happens to be up, be prepared to make contact quickly. again if ATC is online, its much preferred you be in the cruise phase, not the approach phase.
