Hello VATSimmers,

 

Northern Africa vACC is currently accepting applications for an Deputy Events Director position. This is a very specific and important position in AFRN to keep the vACC active and bringing action all the time. Because of this, the position requires a person with a very specific skill set that can cater to new members' needs.

 

The duties of the Deputy Events Director shall be as follows:

 

Conceptualization and planning of at least 1 major event on a monthly basis and 1 secondary events every fortnight. These events can take place within or outside of North African airspace.

• Advertise events in as many of the following ways as possible:

• Post onto the website and send email to members

• Arrange ATC if required for event

• Post on the various Facebook pages

• Post to the VATSIM Forums

• Post onto Vattastic / vROUTE

• Post event’s at least two weeks before hand to allow for adequate time for pilot prep

• Must ensure that events operate smoothly, and must to receive any complaints or criticism openly, and act upon this feedback to improve on future events

 

Essential attributes:

 

• A S3 or C1 rating (excluding administrative ratings as [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned);

• At least 18 years of age;

• Previous experience in a position of responsibility;

• Demonstrable leadership experience and ability;
