Quick question:

If I'm running a Simulator Session utilizing the Euroscope FSD server on my computer, how does an external Euroscope client (i.e. student), connect safely to my local Euroscope FSD server to be able to see all the simulated planes and everything?

Thank you!

If you are just using a Scenario, don't use FSD. Change your connection mode to "Start Sweatbox Simulator Session" and choose the Sweatbox Server. Must have a scenario file created. If you need help Karl, we can talk on TS to get you started on one. I have one for Moncton.

Yes, I know about just using the Sweatbox servers. And I do use those when I'm only teaching one student at a time but if you have multiple students online at once and/or have multiple pseudo pilots, the sweatbox server just can't handle all the information that needs to be p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed between everyone, so Gergley created a separate FSD server that comes with your Euroscope install.

It's all explained in his wiki page: http://www.euroscope.hu/mediawiki/index.php?title=Starting_a_simulator_session

My original question stands:

How does a student connect SAFELY to the FSD server?

Karl,

You should forward the 6809 in your router to your machine. Then the other controller can use you WAN IP address to connect. But also note that ES FSD server limits the possible connections more heavily than SweatBox.
