Ross Carlson Posted July 5, 2017 at 05:52 AM Posted July 5, 2017 at 05:52 AM Using a complex model for model matching will not affect the performance of vPilot, but it will reduce the performance (frame rates) of the sim. Lantz Wagner Posted October 21, 2017 at 10:08 PM Posted October 21, 2017 at 10:08 PM I've read through this thread, thought it would help, but no luck so far. So here is my issue. I've upgraded to P3D V4.1. I've successfuly installed My Traffic 6a and it displays aircraft correctly in P3D. My issue is that vPilot (latest stable edition) is not finding and adding My Traffic 6a's aircraft. I've looked under vPilot Settings/Model Matching/Advanced and verified no "My Traffic" aircraft are listed. My simobjects.cfg file has the following as the final entries: [Entry.9] Title=Default Countermeasures Path=SimObjects\Countermeasures Required=True Active=True [Entry.10] Title=MyTraffic Aircraft Path=C:MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft Required=True Active=True The paths are correct for my installation. I've added the following .xml file to my User/Docomeents/Prepar3d v4 Add-ons/My Traffic6 folder to get My Traffic 6a to load: MyTraffic6 MyTraffic 6.0a SimObjects C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft Scenery C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic MyTrafficScenery 114 Can someone tell me why P3D can see and load My Traffic 6a traffic but vPilot can't see them? Bradley Grafelman Posted October 21, 2017 at 10:14 PM Posted October 21, 2017 at 10:14 PM Have you tried adding a backslash after "C:" in the .cfg file's Path value?
Lantz Wagner Posted October 21, 2017 at 11:36 PM Posted October 21, 2017 at 11:36 PM It could be that simple. I'll try it.
Lantz Wagner Posted October 22, 2017 at 12:26 AM Posted October 22, 2017 at 12:26 AM It was that easy. VPilot now sees the My Traffic airplanes. My final question is, do I need a custom rule set for My Traffic 6a or is it already included in vPilot? If so, where can I download it?
Bradley Grafelman Posted October 22, 2017 at 12:29 AM Posted October 22, 2017 at 12:29 AM From v2, vPilot no long requires the use of custom model matching rules. If you see the MyTraffic folder shown in the Model Matching --> Advanced section of the vPilot config window, you can see how many models it found and identified. The "identified" models will automatically be used.

Ross Carlson Posted October 22, 2017 at 12:44 AM Posted October 22, 2017 at 12:44 AM Note that custom model matching rules files can still be used, if you want to make use of models that vPilot cannot identify, such as custom models for a VA.
