Nickolas Christopher Posted March 17, 2017 at 05:04 AM Posted March 17, 2017 at 05:04 AM I will prime on my normal freq with normal channel. When I set the RDVS to only RX on another freq using a different voice server, I end up transmitting on both frequencies. I've reproduced this at least once or twice. I also can't exit the channel on the voice server once I've unchecked all the radio buttons for that channel. I end up transmitting on the channel still after deselecting all radio buttons for that frequency. Ross Carlson Posted March 17, 2017 at 04:40 PM Posted March 17, 2017 at 04:40 PM Does this occur for you in the non-beta release? There were no changes in the RDVS code for the beta. Nickolas Christopher Posted March 17, 2017 at 05:08 PM Author Posted March 17, 2017 at 05:08 PM It doesn't. Could it have anything to do with the number of frequency entries in the vSTARS configuration file? I made manual edits to the facilities in there. Would the number of entries need to match can the number of rows displayed in the GUI? That's the only thing I can think of. Ross Carlson Posted March 17, 2017 at 06:21 PM Posted March 17, 2017 at 06:21 PM If I remember right (and I wrote this code a while ago and don't have it immediately accessible on this computer) the number of entries doesn't have to match exactly. I believe it will ignore extra entries, and missing entries will result in a blank area in the RDVS GUI. I don't see how that could contribute to this bug anyway. I will investigate. Ross Carlson Posted March 19, 2017 at 03:00 PM Posted March 19, 2017 at 03:00 PM I am unable to reproduce this. I did notice that if you enable TX for a frequency, and then remove TX, it will still show the TX light briefly the next time you transmit. This is an issue in the VVL code and not something I can fix. You aren't actually still transmitting on that frequency after the light extinguishes. Nickolas Christopher Posted March 19, 2017 at 03:12 PM Author Posted March 19, 2017 at 03:12 PM Hmmm. I will try it again later today and see what happens. Los Angeles ARTCC Air Traffic Manager VATUSA Divisionhttps://laartcc.org
