Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted March 25, 2017 at 01:12 PM Board of Governors Posted March 25, 2017 at 01:12 PM 1. Try switching frequencies for a few (e.g. at least 10) seconds then switching back 2. Try shutting down the vPilot application and then starting it up and reconnecting again Don Desfosse Vice President, Operations
Kieran Hine Posted March 25, 2017 at 01:26 PM Posted March 25, 2017 at 01:26 PM I believe I was the controller in question. I heard you state your callsign partially before you cut out. Every transmission after that was just static

Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 25, 2017 at 01:55 PM Posted March 25, 2017 at 01:55 PM probably port block, port forward UDP 3290 on your router
Felix Apps 1381847 Posted March 25, 2017 at 02:03 PM Author Posted March 25, 2017 at 02:03 PM What do you mean by port block? (I might have a different name for it because i'm in the UK.)
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 25, 2017 at 02:10 PM Posted March 25, 2017 at 02:10 PM its basically like a revolving door. information goes in, information goes out. sometimes that door gets stuck closed, or even sometimes it gets stuck open in one direction. by port forwarding, it forces that door to open and close like normal. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 25, 2017 at 03:03 PM Posted March 25, 2017 at 03:03 PM thats all going to depend on your router. youll have to check its manual to see how. normally involves logging into the routers admin functions, you may see a port forwarding section or it may be under a different section. manual should tell you exactly UDP 3290 is what youll want to port forward. if you are using a public wifi connection and dont have access to the router, you wont be able to do this (some people use open wifi so worth noting) after doing so, you may want to shutdown the pilot client and start it again. normally dont have to though and should start working right away

Bradley Grafelman Posted March 26, 2017 at 01:13 AM Posted March 26, 2017 at 01:13 AM The UDP port issue is only for inbound communications - port forwarding will have no effect on outgoing transmissions. EDIT: Missed the second page... still, the above might save someone else some time if they stumble upon this thread with a similar issue.
