James Brickell 852953 Posted May 7, 2006 at 09:18 PM Posted May 7, 2006 at 09:18 PM I was the totally lost Air Berlin flight from Tegel-Stansted with the American accent tonight. Believe it or not, I'm a native brit, but 6 years of twang and "y'all" has caught up to me Aside from my misinterpreting headings due to not having heard English spoken correctly for a long time, the flight was great! Thanks to London Control (S), London Control (NE), Essex Radar, Stansted Director, and Stansted Tower for the excellent service.

Nigel Spink 811859 Posted May 10, 2006 at 09:21 PM Posted May 10, 2006 at 09:21 PM Hi James, It was a pleasure as always controlling for big events such as this one, and I enjoyed it. It was also nice to hear a callsign I hear at work...confused me for a while, and I think there is an American pilot that flies for them too real world.
