XSquawkbox 1.3.2 - XP11 - Sound Settings

Hello,

 

XSB 1.3.2 and XP11 works very fine for me, just that i have the following problem:

 

I cannot Set my Audio right.

Every time i change the setting and close it, it is set back to input/Output pw.

My mic via USB headset works fine, but the Sound always comes through speakers.

I also tried setting the Audio via preferenc.ini and also connecting a headset with Audio cable (Green and red, dont know the englisch name) at an extra Audioport, making it primary, Sound still comes from speakers.

 

Any clue or hints?

Go to XSB Audit Settings.

 

Select your USB headset for Input, Ouput(COM1) & Output(COM2).

 

Write down the name of the USB headset exactly as it appears in Audio Settings on paper.

 

Close down X-Plane.

 

Edit the file:

 

"...\X-Plane 10\Resources\plugins\XSquawkBox\Resources\XSquawkBox Prefs"

 

or

 

"...\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\XSquawkBox\Resources\XSquawkBox Prefs"

 

using notepad.

 

Search on "input_device"

 

eg

 

input_device=DirectSound - Microphone (Turtle Beach PLa Headset)

output_device0=DirectSound - Speakers (Turtle Beach PLa Headset)

output_device1=DirectSound - Speakers (Turtle Beach PLa Headset)

 

Type your USB device name after each "=" above.

 

Save the file.

 

Restart X-Plane & test.
