Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted April 23, 2017 at 06:20 PM Posted April 23, 2017 at 06:20 PM Meridiana could be one of the more obscure and lesser known airlines out of Italy so our controllers may not have recognized the ISS ICAO and the corresponding callsign of "Meridiana". To make sure, when using less frequently seen callsigns, I would put "Callsign is 'Meridiana" in the comments block of the flightplan that I submit to VATSIM. But to answer your direct question, No you did not do anything wrong. It was simply an ICAO that was unknown by whichever controllers handled your flight. Andreas Fuchs Posted April 23, 2017 at 08:10 PM Posted April 23, 2017 at 08:10 PM As Randy mentioned, just add "RTF/MERIDIANA" or "CS/MERIDIANA" to your flightplan remarks. Hopefully ATC will check when not recognizing the ICAO-code.
