The closing date for applications is 31 May 2017 at 22:59:59Z. Applications should be sent to ‘[email protected]’ to include the position for which you are applying in the subject line. The body of the email should include your name, VATSIM CID, your rating (excluding administrative ratings) and a short VATSIM CV indicating previous previous experience as appropriate. The Training Director reports to the vACC director and liases with the Technical Director, the Events Director, and the Operations Director in the course of their duties. The Training Director is an honorary position. The duties of the Training Director include, but are not limited to: Recruiting and managing a team of mentors; Developing and overseeing the development of training resources; Recommending members to the vACC Director for Instructor ratings; Ensuring training is expeditious and of a good standard; Ensuring compliance with VATSIM policies, including but not limited to VATEUD Division Policy, VATEUR Regional Policy, Executive Committee Policies, VATSIM Code of Conduct, and the VATSIM Code of Regulations; Inducting new members into the ATC training process in the vACC and ensuring they feel welcome and well informed about the Online VATeir Training System; Producing regular reports on the status of training within the vACC; Approving or denying Solo Tower Validation requests through the website; Being an initial point of contact for new members; Liaising with the Technical Director about bugs in the Online Training System; Maintaining an active online presence within the vACC; Other duties as [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned to him/her by the vACC Director. Ideally, candidates will have: Membership of VATeir or a willingness to become a member of VATeir; At least a C1 rating, and a willingness to learn; A P1 Pilot Rating; A clean VATSIM CERT record; Previous experience in a position of responsibility; Demonstrable leadership skills; A pragmatic and diplomatic approach to problem solving; Good knowledge of the VATSIM Code of Conduct and Code of Regulations; Experience producing docomeentation with Microsoft Word or similar software; Good written English and good verbal skills.
