Jack Roy 1343733 Posted May 6, 2017 at 02:07 PM Posted May 6, 2017 at 02:07 PM I recently switched from FSX:SE to X-Plane 11, I haven't logged onto the VATSIM network with X-Plane but hypothetically if I joined with the default X-Plane B737, would players playing on FSX see me as the 737 that is default to their game? Or let's say if I logged on with the MD-82, would FSX player see me as a CRJ or just nothing at all? Thanks for any responses -Jack
1275389 Posted May 6, 2017 at 02:27 PM Posted May 6, 2017 at 02:27 PM Hey Jack, It's all based on their model matching rules and your aircraft type code. [Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming they have everything set correctly, logging in as a "B738" will display you as a 737-800. It doesn't matter what sim so long as they have configured their model matching correctly. Here is a list of valid type codes to log in with. Trent Hopkinson Posted May 29, 2017 at 04:59 AM Posted May 29, 2017 at 04:59 AM If I logged in with that, other people would see me as a United Airlines Boeing 777-200(ER) regardless of what my simulator is, or what aircraft I am loaded up in if THEY have their model matching set up correctly. If THEY don't have their model matching set up at all, I will appear to THEM as a default aircraft. If in FSX/P3D, it would be a plain white Airbus A321 if they use Vpilot. If they use FSinn, I'd probably show up as a default Learjet, but other people right next to them who have set up their model matching correctly will see the United 777-200.
