David Franklin Posted May 25, 2017 at 12:34 PM Posted May 25, 2017 at 12:34 PM Can someone point me to a scenery file for Sea-Tac that has the 3rd runway in it? I've looked up FlightSim and AVSIM and don't think I've got it. Either I've fumbled on a simple acfad install or it's one before the 3rd runway addition. Thanks for any [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted May 25, 2017 at 07:55 PM Posted May 25, 2017 at 07:55 PM Not sure which one you downloaded? I went to AVSIM and searched in FSX Scenery for "KSEA". Very first file is Ray Smith's excellent one that updates not only to 3 runways, but taxiways, parking, and terminals as well. https://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=KSEA&CatID=fsxscen&Go=Search For P3D, since you didn't say what platform... https://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=KSEA&CatID=fsxscen&Go=Search You must be signed in to AVSIM to see the links. For FS2004...I saw one file when I searched the entire AVSIM Scenery for "KSEA". 10 pages of files showed up and not sure which page I saw it on. I grabbed one a long time ago from a VA that is not longer in existence that allowed non-members to download sceneries their members created. I would have thought the Seattle ARTCC website would have had a link to current sceneries, but I didn't see any. Maybe I just looked in the wrong place. Sorry about not including the platform. I was looking for FS9. Ya know I think on the VA that had it, is where I got it from last time. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted May 26, 2017 at 04:28 AM Posted May 26, 2017 at 04:28 AM David, Did some further looking and the VA is not closed, but going strong. It is Westwind Virtual Airlines. Their scenery page is only available to members now. It didn't used to be that way back in 2009 when I downloaded their KSEA scenery for FS2004. I still have the original zip, but I think to honor their latest intentions it would not be proper to email it to you. However, after checking the Freescenery site Andreas linked and striking out...the only two listed for FS2004 were before the new runway...I went back to AVSIM. In their search engine type in just "KSEA" and leave the "In Category" box set to "AVSIM FILE Library" and search. 10 pages of files will come up. On Page three the fifth file down should be a 2012 version of KSEA done by Joe Bourgeois for FS2004. that's your ticket. If that doesn't work for you you could always join Westwind or, barring that, if you get permission from the current VA leadership at WWVA for me to send the original zip to you I will.
