Fynn Hiort 1401126 Posted August 7, 2017 at 10:27 PM Posted August 7, 2017 at 10:27 PM Hello, I have decided to use vatsim next to ivao and I've got some difficulties after connecting to it. I can't see any other aircrafts than blank CRJs, although they are not supposed to be CRJs. I tried to manually only enable IVAO_MTL and all that sort of things, but there are still only CRJs (or default FSX planes). Can anyone help me? Cheers already
Bradley Grafelman Posted August 7, 2017 at 10:29 PM Posted August 7, 2017 at 10:29 PM You need to install some other 3rd party AI traffic (World of AI is a popular choice); IVAO doesn't permit the use of its MTL outside of its network.

The Simobjects folder as well as WOAI has got other folders including ones called Airplanes, Animals, Boats etc? Norman

Ross Carlson Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:41 PM Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:41 PM If he can select WoAI in the model matching settings, then vPilot is finding the folder. Flynn, when you are online with other aircraft nearby, open the aircraft list by typing the ".aircraft" command. Take a screenshot of the list and post a link to the screenshot for us to take a look at. Also, in the list of folders in the model matching settings, how many models does it say it identified in the WoAI folder? Fynn Hiort 1401126 Posted August 8, 2017 at 07:55 PM Author Posted August 8, 2017 at 07:55 PM I am sorry but where do I type in ".aircraft"? And it says it identifies 171 models out of
Ross Carlson Posted August 8, 2017 at 08:33 PM Posted August 8, 2017 at 08:33 PM In the command line area in vPilot, same place you would type a text message. Ross Carlson Posted August 9, 2017 at 03:05 AM Posted August 9, 2017 at 03:05 AM Thanks Flynn ... can you also post a screenshot of your model matching settings where it shows the WoAI folder? It would be helpful if you could expand the WoAI folder and show the specific subfolder that contains the model you expected to see for the aircraft shown in the screenshot you just posted. For example, show the subfolder that contains the Speedbird A318. Ross Carlson Posted August 9, 2017 at 12:21 PM Posted August 9, 2017 at 12:21 PM Hrm ... something doesn't look right there ... you shouldn't have folders named after the airline within the WoAI folder. You should just have a folder for each model. FSX and P3D (and therefore vPilot) will only look one level deep for models, and you have your models two levels deep. It's been a long time since I used the WoAI installer, so I don't remember for sure, but there might be an option in the installer for grouping the models by airline, and you don't want that option, because it creates that extra level in the folder hierarchy. Edit: Looking at it again, you actually have two extra levels of folders ... you have: SimObjects\WoAI\British Airways\aircraft\WoA_AIA_B763_RR What you want is: SimObjects\WoAI\WoA_AIA_B763_RR Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Fynn Hiort 1401126 Posted August 9, 2017 at 07:01 PM Author Posted August 9, 2017 at 07:01 PM Ok I´ve done that now: Not a lot better, but at least I can now see three British Airways 733s here in Gatwick. Unfortunately all the other aircrafts are still regional jets. Thanks a lot and I´m very happy about your effort in helping me, but are there any more ideas? Ross Carlson Posted August 9, 2017 at 07:03 PM Posted August 9, 2017 at 07:03 PM Did you make the same change for all the other airlines? British airways was just the example ...
