Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted September 19, 2017 at 04:32 AM Posted September 19, 2017 at 04:32 AM Depends on where you are flying Eric. For Europe I try to use this... http://vatroute.net/ For the US and parts of Canada I try to use this... http://flightaware.com/ And there is always the free version of vRoute for the entire world... http://vroute.net/ Randy Randy Tyndall - KBOI ZLA I-11/vACC Portugal P4 “A ship is always safe in the harbor. Bradley Grafelman Posted September 19, 2017 at 09:05 AM Posted September 19, 2017 at 09:05 AM For US flying, I'll also offer SkyVector as a good choice. Not only do they have a database of preferred and recently-filed real-world routes, but if that fails to find a canned route, you're already staring at the necessary charts you'd need to start planning your own route from scratch. Andreas Fuchs Posted September 19, 2017 at 09:31 AM Posted September 19, 2017 at 09:31 AM For Europe the preferred database is now VROUTE as Vatroute has been discontinued (support and route maintenance). Lindsey Wiebe 1101951 Posted September 19, 2017 at 05:30 PM Posted September 19, 2017 at 05:30 PM For North America www.simbrief.com is awesome for auto gen route as well as winds, notams, etc, just like RW airline dispatch (you can select certain output formats for certain airlines). You can then export that route into skyvector.com as mentioned above. Simbrief will also work well in Europe, I've used it many times there, it tries to use RW routes from flightaware.
