I have noticed that an Observer is logged on with the callsign AMM_APP and comms channel. Is this allowed?

I thought that Observers were not allowed to control?

Probably just forgot to change the facility type after previously logging in an observer. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

Yes - probably. The unusual thing is that the info was gathered from SERVINFO and yet, VATSPY contradicted that info.

Most unusual for those two programmes to contradict each other!

Technology. Fine when its working correctly, but dangerous when not LOL

Quite common, actually. VATSpy uses the callsign suffix to determine the facility type. I made that choice because the server does the same thing in many areas, which is why you can connect as an observer, but use a callsign that is valid for controlling, and have it work.
