Seems a bit biased to allow a payware tp promote a flyin?

Just looked to see our upcoming flyins, 0110.2017 and noticed a what seems blatant promotion of a flyin scenery software we need to buy for an event?

 

"VATSPA would like to invite you to discover the new scenery of Fuerteventura (GCFV) developed by MK Studios."

 

Seems a bit more of a promotion to make us pay for an event?

 

Thought we were about a non profit volunteer organisation?

 

24.99 EU to have a GCFV flyin, not really fair!!!!

Don't have to actually own it to fly in but for added realism, they're suggesting it. I'd suggest that any event requiring payware scenery would be given short shrift by the BoG if it were brought to their attention.

 

Events which tie into scenery releases aren't new either, there's been a few (in fact, I'm sure there's been a couple in the UK in the past) to "celebrate" the release.

I haven't heard of any vACC that requries you to use a payware scenery. Even not a specific scenery. As Trevor wrote, they suggest/recommend to use a specific scenery - usually because it is updated and accurate. Nobody will and can not, require you to use a specific scenery.

Agree guys, its just the main headline is a promotion of MK Studios payware, not a suggested scenery as in other flyins.

 

No disputing the controllers who will give up there free time to control all of those that flyin for the event that they have organised.
