Jim Killeen 917998 Posted December 31, 2004 at 08:39 AM Posted December 31, 2004 at 08:39 AM I have read other peoples problems here and mine seems fairly unique. I see them on TCAS and even get a label displayed but for instance when someone joines within view of me. I get an error saying that the plane I am trying to load will cause instability in fs2004 and do I want to load it anyway sort of. whether i say yes or no, things return to normal but no plane is displayed. only a label and the type is unspecified. csl is in the aircraft directory i don't think I have a router. voice and loging on seems ok now. my sequence is this. start sbrelay start msfs2004 multiplayer game etc search 127.0.0.1 (nothing doesn't seem to work) join sbrelay game create flight etc once in game, run hostsb alt+tab to go to windows run squakbox change squawkbox name to my multiplayer name in msfs2004 enter 127.0.0.1 in search adderss (nothing doesn't work) join the found game and enter the action file plan, connect. any probs there? I did read that you should leave the squawkbox name in the squawkbox bit, is that so?
Lennart Vedin Posted December 31, 2004 at 01:24 PM Posted December 31, 2004 at 01:24 PM In your file C:\Docomeents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.CFG Have you insert the requested lines to disable the warning for unknown airplanes (i.e. Vatsim CSL airplanes) in FS. It should look like following in the file: [Oldmodules] HostSB.dll=1 [FrameCallNoWarn] ~van=1 A320=1 A340=1 AT72=1 B1=1 B206=1 B52=1 B707=1 B727=1 B737=1 B744=1 B767=1 BA46=1 BE10=1 BE18=1 BE35=1 BE55=1 C130=1 C152=1 C172=1 C182=1 C188=1 C5=1 CAR=1 CONC=1 CSL=1 D8100run=1 DC10=1 DC3=1 DC4=1 DC9=1 DH8B=1 DHC2=1 DHC6=1 F14=1 F4=1 F5=1 ffg7=1 FORD_POS=1 G21=1 J3=1 LJ45=1 M113=1 Master CSL=1 OHP=1 P28A=1 P28R=1 P32R=1 P51=1 Pa28r180=1 SAIL=1 SF34=1 SH33=1 ST75=1 STS=1 T37=1 TOBA=1 TUG=1 Tug1=1 TWR=1 U2=1 UH1=1 UH1D=1 UH60=1 ULT=1 VAN=1 XSR=1 ~a340=1 ~f5=0 Pa28-181=1 change squawkbox name to my multiplayer name in msfs2004. I did read that you should leave the squawkbox name in the squawkbox bit, is that so? I do not understand what you mean, step-by-step what do you mean you do here ? / Lennart Vedin /

Lennart Vedin Posted January 1, 2005 at 09:21 PM Posted January 1, 2005 at 09:21 PM > the squawkbox bit.. I enter my Vatsim callsignal in the FS multiplayer sessions "player name". 4. The Player name you select should be the same call sign as you are going to use for Squawkbox. I am changing squawkbox to noble918 because that is the "player name I use in flightsim multiplayer sessions" That's wrong according to PRC docomeent. In squawkbox I have the Player Name "Squawkbox". 9. In the first SB window you see, enter Squawkbox for a player name. No problem for me. / Lennart Vedin /
Jim Killeen 917998 Posted January 3, 2005 at 08:25 AM Author Posted January 3, 2005 at 08:25 AM roger, will do squawkbox that way. About the planes not showing up, I changed the .cfg file and now, no warnings appear, but at places where my tcas says something is right in front of me, nothing is.
