Ivan Rivas 841353 Posted May 30, 2006 at 04:48 PM Posted May 30, 2006 at 04:48 PM Hello Everyone, This weekend I finally spent the time and loaded everything that is VATSIM. I went on line and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed through a few CTR areas and it was great. The experience put another dimension to my FS world. Now if I can get other members of my virtual airline, Lynx Airways Worldwide, to participate, we can someday become members of VATSIM as an airline not just an individual. Anyway, my problem. After 4 hours of cruising to my next fuel spot in Alaska, I lost connection to the server in SB. I also tried to go to ServInfo and that was also locked as well as FS. When I tried to connect to SB again, the error message said I had no virtual memory left. I had to reboot the computer. I again started everything and after a few hours the same occurred. I then used FS without SB or Servinfo and it worked fine for the next 6 hours as I cruised from PASN to RJTT. My computer is a 3.4 ghz with 1 gig of memory running XP Professional with a 6600 PNY Video Card. Any thoughts? Lennart Vedin Posted June 4, 2006 at 04:01 PM Posted June 4, 2006 at 04:01 PM "no virtual memory left" May could be antivirus/firewall McAfee as it have previous been reported cause memory leak when connected to vatsim. You can try search forum for "virtual memory" or McAfee. Note that McAfee (at least some versions) and also other antivirus may need to be uninstalled to take effect. There is no other way to "complete turn off" some antivirus. / Lennart Vedin /
