Michael Detmold 968458 Posted May 30, 2006 at 10:04 PM Posted May 30, 2006 at 10:04 PM Hi im a newb, so please be patient. Basically what i want to do is connect to a small airport with an atc and just observe and learn how to do this whole vatsim thing. Any airport suggestions would be helpfull. I have been through the tutorials, but must have missed something. What i do is : open fs2004 then open squakbox 3 then go to sb3 click connect and fill in all my info as shown in the pictures below after that i go > fs2004 multiplayer>open multiplayeer sesion> join session squakbox, press ok>create a flight> select the same airplane, airport i have filled into my sb3 and start the flight>, then i open squakbox press connect, select the server and press conect and then it gives me that error message posted in the picture below. I have tried connecting to every server on the list but they all return the same message, "an error occured connecting to the Air Traffic Control Server, bad adress". These are the server ip s that are listed in squakbox : Vatsim usa w - 216.93.170.44 vatsim usa se - 216.49.160.26 vatsim usa s3 - 66.221.192.84 vatsim usa s1 - 66.98.168.65 <-- do these seem allright? These may be helpfull -> http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f378/himerzi/filledin.gif and http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f378/himerzi/agf.gif Thank for the help ! _________________
Lennart Vedin Posted June 4, 2006 at 03:43 PM Posted June 4, 2006 at 03:43 PM There are some fault in what you do. At least an other way is common working. 1. Start FS2004, create your flight and park at a gate or parking-area. 2. Start SB3, select server and fill your connection-data. 3. Click Connect in SB3. ( you should see a window in FS2004 tell something like "Connect via lobby.." ) Do not Connect in SB3 before FS2004 is ready with your opened flight. That should make the connection. No need to open FS2004 multiplayer-menu etc. Following server are available at this moment: Vatsim usa w - 216.93.170.44 vatsim usa se - 216.49.160.26 vatsim usa s3 - 66.221.192.84 you can find servers online at http://www.vatsim.net -> "who's on line". / Lennart Vedin /
