Position Brief

 

VCLvACC is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume the role of Deputy Director for Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos vACC. This is a very important role as it is a key part to the staff team and acts on behalf of the vACC Director when he/she is on leave.

 

Responsibilities

 

Reports To: vACC Director

Reports From: vACC Training, Operations, Events, Web Services Director

 

Key Duties To Role

 

• Takes direct reports from vACC Training, Operations, Events and Web Services Director within the vACC

• Reports to the vACC Director

• Monitors day to day operations of the vACC and [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ists the vACC Director when required

• [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist and monitors vACC policies and monitors membership status with the vACC

• [Mod - Happy Thoughts]isting other staff members in different departments if required

• [Mod - Happy Thoughts]umes the role of Acting vACC Director in the absence or leave of the vACC Director

• [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ists Members of the vACC Local and Visiting when required and points them to the correct direction

• Attends periodic vACC Meetings and Divisional Meetings (When required)

• Able to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist with other tasks [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned or required to complete

• Maintains an online present of 5-10 hours per week on the Network and within VATSEA Discord Server

 

Prerequisites

 

• The applicant must have a rating of a Controller (C1) or higher with good knowledge of ATC Services

• The applicant must have good knowledge of Pilot Services and the software used. P1 Rating is essential

• The applicant must be in good nature with VATSIM for more than 6 months and have good knowledge of VATSIM Policies. Exceptions are made with valid reasoning

• The applicant should have some prior knowledge or experience to the role eg. From a different vACC/ARTCC/Division/Region or a Virtual Airline

• The applicant shall have the ability to communicate clearly through different mediums to different people of different cultures, backgrounds and countries

• The applicant shall be available to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume the role as Acting vACC Director if in the absent or leave of the vACC Director

• The applicant must be able to commit to at least 5-10 hours per week to the role actively controlling or on VATSEA Discord Server

• The applicant should have extended knowledge of the local area (Vietnam, Cambodian and Laos) but no essential

• The applicant must be fluent in English spoken and written but other languages especially local are an [Mod - Happy Thoughts]et to the vACC

• The applicant must be available to have an interview if required

• The applicant must be available to send a letter or recommendation from their current vACC/ARTCC/Division Director if required
